An assessment of ergonomic risk factors to identify opportunities to reduce risk for individual tasks, production lines and/or employees. This can include product implementation (e.g., scissor lift pallet jack), administrative intervention (e.g., job rotation) or engineering solutions (e.g., augmentation or redesign of a machine or work zone) 

Ergonomic/Injury risk 

Employee limitations identified by a functional abilities form or assessment are reviewed relative to job tasks in order to determine tasks that the employee is capable of performing without re-injury or tasks that are suitable with modification 

 Return to Work/Modified Duties 

Review of workplace for health and safety hazards, e.g., railings, guarding, chemical storage, lighting, slip and fall hazards, SOP reviews, etc. 

 Health and Safety 

Observing and documenting work processes and flow and identifying; wasted production time, excessive handling and process inefficiencies 

  Workflow/time 

An assessment of a workspace to ensure that the proper clearances and equipment are present at a workplace to satisfy the AODA

 
Assessment of patient, resident or student transfers completed manually or via equipment to identify risks for both employees and the patient, resident or student


Recommendations of techniques and equipment options are provided

 Universal Accessibility 

Instruction for staff regarding the manual or equipment based transfer of a; patient, resident or student
    Instruction for staff regarding how to use equipment for people with disabilities 

Accessibility Equipment and Transfers

A review of drawings for new or revised machines and production elements to identify injury risk factors and workforce compatibility so that design corrections can be implemented pre-build
